Website NA Cautions This information was gathered first-hand during our visits by land and water. The exceptions are the Google satellite view and approach/dockside depth. Approach/dockside depths can be, uh, shall we say, "optimistic"... Google satellite view is for general overview - it is usually fairly accurate but in a few cases it is slightly off. Always use common sense... Marinas in South Florida have high occupancy rates, always call ahead to verify slip availability and latest rates. Docking help varies depending on marina and personnel working that day. If you need help, call on VHF or phone as you approach and request dock hands to help. You may have to be insistent. Generally speaking, in south Florida wind will be your enemy when docking. But there are some marinas with difficult currents (usually the ones near the inlets or on the New River and Miami River). Call ahead and/or watch the tide if in doubt. Docking Advice Never dock any faster than you are willing to hit something.
